“Untitled” (America)

“Untitled” (America) is presented as a live, in-person exhibition event at Whitney Exhibitions, situated in the city where American art is continuously argued over and remade. The work approaches “America” less as a fixed place than as a set of images, narratives, and omissions, asking how identity is constructed through what gets shown and what gets left out. Seen in New York, it inevitably reads against the Whitney’s own role in shaping national taste. Its restraint is the point, and also the critique.
