About The Metropolitan Opera
The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center Plaza is a cultural cornerstone of Manhattan's Upper West Side. This distinguished venue has been a center for opera since its opening in 1966. With a seating capacity nearing 4,000, it is the long-standing home of the Metropolitan Opera Association. Under the musical direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin since 2018, it continues to showcase a diverse repertoire.
