Bryant Park is a 9.6-acre, privately managed public park in Midtown Manhattan, at 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. The New York Public Library’s Main Branch borders its east side, and much of the park sits above underground library stacks. Programming leans seasonal and civic, from outdoor film and performance series to the winter setup of the Bank of America Winter Village with an ice rink and small-market stalls. On an ordinary day, the lawn reads like a shared reading room for the neighborhood.
