Palace Theatre
About Palace Theatre
Palace Theatre stands at 1564 Broadway at the north edge of Times Square in Midtown Manhattan. It opened in 1913, financed by impresario Martin Beck and designed by the Milwaukee firm Kirchhoff & Rose. Built for Broadway-stage entertainment, it is also remembered for its early decades as a key vaudeville stop within the Keith–Albee circuit, where performers measured careers by whether they played the Palace. The auditorium holds about 1,648 seats across three tiers, a scale that still suits large musical productions.
